That is interesting Chrisale.  Could you provide a link where the study suggests the cost to rebuild the railway would be around that estimate?

 

I'm not sure what variables are used to come to conclusions for costs and benefits.

 

I would guess that operating costs would be less by train, but I'm not sure about the capital costs.

 

Add to this, there would be less jobs created for truckers, and that would be a cost added to the community.

 

Again, it interests me to see all the facts related to the breakdown in all variables costs and benefits for either form of transporation.  Has an independent audit been done for this? 

 

Anyway, I'm not saying you shouldn't voice your concern, actually I think you should.   I also beleive that Compliance Energy is not shutting you or any other concerned individual out.  It's just a matter of completing the studies necessary to make a proper decision.
