Aurcana Silver Corporation is a Canada-based company, which is engaged in the exploration, development, and operation of natural resource properties. The Company’s development properties are the Revenue-Virginius mine (the Revenue-Virginius mine or Ouray), located in Ouray Colorado and held through the Company’s 100% owned United States subsidiary, Ouray Silver Mines, Inc. (OSMI) and the Shafter silver property (the Shafter Silver Project or Shafter), located in Presidio County, Texas and held Aurcana Silver Corporation. The Revenue-Virginius mine is located in southwestern Colorado about 5.5 miles southwest of the town of Ouray. Access to the mine site is via County Road 361. The Shafter Silver Project, which is 375 miles southeast of El Paso, in Presidio County, southwest Texas, within a historic mining district.

Reserves are a significant factor in value determinations.  It is important to know a mine investment will have a good run of 15-20 years or more. There are other factors as well.  Cost of production is one.  Consistent management performance and reputation are others.  Political and labor stability are factors. Company growth rate is important particularly for a small company like Aurcana but this is likely offset somewhat by their financial stability and small size and low diversity.  Low  market visibility and market penetration are a drag on AUN share price as well.  The point is there are many factors, some clear but many soft and judgmental when trying to compare companies.  Time will sort them out if Aurcana continues their growth and consistent production but they are currently quite low on the scale of many of the softer factors.
