RE: RE: RE: RE: when the FDA approves this I have done some research on LMD.
They just signed up Paul Hughes for IR over there. The company just disposed of their distributor, Hank Schein. Byron Capital Markets Ltd. did a report on June 18, 2012. The report is 24 pages and quite comprehensive. For anyone interested PM me and I will forward.
The VRS MSI camera technology is developed by some of the researchers who developed LMD's VELscope and VELscope Vx.My understanding is that the MSI camera tech is essentially a next-generation VELscope Vx. As of a few months ago there was still a patent pending, though this could have been received since.
It is interesting that Verisante was able to secure the rights to this device. It appears to be another underappreciated accomplishment of TB's, but only time will tell us in full.
The MSI camera is expected to be assembled at the VRS RIchmond engineering facility. The rights to it were secured as a lower cost device to be used for skin and oral cancer detection by general practitioners.
LMDs VELscope VX or the MSI camera are not expected to produce the sort of speedy and accurate results as the Aura. But for a general practitioner who is not looking to spend upwards of $60,000 to assess the relatively few lesions he or she would see in a typical year, it is hoped that the MSI camera will be an attractive option to the Rolls Royce Aura.
