PIMCO New York Municipal Income Fund III (the Fund) is a non-diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's primary investment objective is to seek to provide current income exempt from federal and California income tax. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 90% of its net assets in municipal bonds which pay interest that is exempt from regular federal, New York State and New York City income. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its total assets in investments the interest from which is subject to the federal alternative minimum tax. The Fund also invests at least 80% of its net assets in municipal bonds that at the time of investment are investment grade quality. Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) serves as the Fund's investment manager.

You make some really interesting points. I totally agree with your perspective and I think that that is the direction Poynt is currently taking.

The trick about success is the ability to monetize the application. This is being done and I feel that they have a definite direction pointer towards revenue. Let me give my reasons in bullet format:

China revenue stream is going to be subscriber based. According to expectations Poynt should be earning about 1,677,000$ per month in revenue from this initiative
The patent enforcement issue through JV partner WiLan should give another interesting and explosive revenue stream
India seems to be halted in the tracks (in my opinion) and as far as I am concerned it was a dud. They will earn something from that source but it will not meet initial expectations. So India is a very very very small positive for Poynt
This is the big on in my opinion. The Offer Engine. It is being used now in the US and this is going to be a strong leg upon which Poynt will stand.

DarkerKnight I also found you comment about Poynt having linkages with Social Media. That is a great idea. Actually the CYL have integrated their poyntChina application with social media. This is soon coming to the West. But I love the way you think!
