pbn had and still has plenty of assets to sell in order to reduce their debt load a ton.  Plus, they ramped up production well beyond what the street was expecting.  And lastly, they implemented a DRIP which attracted many existing shareholders.

 

plt.un has no assets to sell.  they pulled back on their drilling plans so its highly doubtful they'll be able to replicate the positive surprise pbn gave the market regarding production, and lastly even their basic payout ratio is meaningfully exceeding 100%.

 

Dont et me wrong, I want plt.un to do well.  But there are some facts that cant be ignored.  This is not to say they are insurmountable but with the data that is out currently, it does not look good.  Hopefully we get new info soon that will indicate a turnaround is taking place.  Till then though...
