Don't depend on the insiders to look after shareholder's interests.  It is not uncommon for severances and side deals to make their "best deal" different from that of the common shareholder. 

If you recognize that WFE shareholders are being disadvantaged by being merged with Guide that is floundering in debt and is unlikely to do better with Long Run than they did with Guide, then vote against it on Oct 22.  You can do it online by getting your proxy vote numbers from your broker.  if this deal is stopped by the shareholders who have the power to do it, then your WFE shares will show a value increase based on WFE's performance. 

Alternatevely you can settle for the Long Run.
