The "debt" that you refer to is a convertible debenture, more commonly to be considered a form of EQUITY.  If you were to read the prospectus you would see that ultimately LSG has the power to redeem the debenture for shares...... so the threat is more likely to be the dilution of shareholders.

Mind, it is true that convertibles reduce volatility becuase of the hedging they permit.  And Volatility is usually associated with excitement.  This stock may continue to be boring rather than risky. IMHO.
