Yeah, the fact that they both share part of the Masato deposit seems to be a pretty compelling rational for a merger. It would be kind of hard for two companies to open pit mine the same deposit without some kind of accomodation.

With the bump up of the indicated resources to almost 2 Moz, this deposit should see a dramatic increase in reserves (previously ~ .5 Moz) in the upcoming feasibility study. I think it would be wise for TGZ to make their move sooner rather than later, especially if they are having success on their side of the border.
