RE: South Africa

RE: South Africa

B212. No wonder S Africa decided to build Rail Roads on Spec to encourage more exploration & mining. Their trucking problems proliferate.

Re the ROF Chromites, etc, per WSJ's Alex MacDonald Oct 4, 2012: "the European Commission will decide by Nov 8 2012 on approving the Glencore Xstrata merger. US & Australia have already approved.

China & S Africa are expected to approve but China's track record on approvals make their ok uncertain."

The merger will create the world's largest thermal-coal exporter, the largest zinc & ferrochrome producer & the 3rd largest copper producer. (Also, a substantial nickel & PGM producer, etc, etc.)

The above is posted as China no doubt prefers owning the ROF Chromites, etc,  rather than buying them from a merged Glencore-Xstrata. China no doubt will also prefer to own all CLF's ROF assets. (US approval may already be in play.)
