In Alberta...and large parts of N/E B.C. we have a lot of Muskeg...which is water logged peat or other organic matter. Building roads or spudding wells is only economical when, what is locally known as "on the frost" occurs. Which FYI this morning was -4C on my porch thermomenter. These rigs will be headin out by Halloween and the only whining will be the sound of 671 Jimmy's screamin on the floor and the collective sigh of the ruffy's when that hi-ballin driller yell's "out of the Hole!"
