This just in from our Councillor, Kim Magnuson:

Subject: Bernum Applications Approved in Springbank
Date: 1 October, 2012 4:41:25 PM MDT
To: <KMagnuson@rockyview.ca>

Mike Ponto, from Bernum Petroleum, has informed me that the 2 wells they had applied for (one on RR 33 and the other north of the Harmony Development) have both been approved by the ERCB.  Their intention is to have everything up and running by the end of this year.

Next Steps:
1.      They will be moving trucks into the RR 33 site within the next 2 weeks to move dirt (20-25 trucks).
2.      They will drill the well within the next month, with 3 week’s worth of work (15-20 trucks/day) for completion.
3.      Following the drill, depending upon the results, they anticipate a 99% chance that they will Frack.
4.      The Fracking/Service Rig would then move in to frack the well over a period of 1-2 days and last a couple weeks (6-9 trucks).
5.      Drilling and Fracking will go on 24 hours/day.
6.      There will be flaring and incinerating.
7.      The trucks will stay off the road during morning and afternoon bus times.
8.      They anticipate 6-7 weeks of busy work on RR 33, then will move on to the land north of Harmony.
