RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Morgan Stanley

I'm writtin back because i'm interested in your theory of manipulation. If you have any kind of proof of what your implying i'm serously interested.

The reason why i'm not buying the manipulation theory is because why would a firm worth billions, would manipulate a stock with a budget less than 30k. Are they listed as a big holder of anything related to wpx ? If they manipulate a price....it's because they have something to gain. What would it be ? They didn't bring the stock down...or up..they just traded it sideway....on a small day.

The fact that you state it doesn't happen often is actually in favor of nothing more than Algorythmic trading. If it was a widespread tactic, it could play in your favor, but since it's a rare thing, like you stated, i don't know how you can make it look like a manipulation. It's not a common thing...so where have you heard it from that it's manipulation ?

To the person talking about facebook. There was manipulation. Nobody says otherwise. But they had something to gain from manipulating the price. They were in charge of the IPO ! The client was Zuckerberg and the commission is based on the price of the share. But they are not involved in wpx. In facebook we're talking billions....today, it's not even 30k of transaction...with no apparent gain ?!

I have a tendancy to believe in manipulation from big firms when the gain is substantial. For example, the accusation of manipulating the gold and silver market. Big firms were trading contracts everyday that mesured up in volumes to a year of worldwide silver production. They had short positions worth tens of millions. That is incrimnating.

Trading 61k of volumes, with no apparent way to benefit because they are not related to wpx does not constitute manipulation. Plus you challenge me to find another stock with the same kind of trading because you find it weird makes me all the more skeptic of were you found your information that makes you so sure that a strategy like this one must be manipulation.
