You are absolutely right Tannin. However, the manager of this company is not the only one doing it. Some of these guys will take a final paycheck after declaring bankruptcy. It's also safe to say that some are less greedy than others. The only time a CEO deserves a good pay check is after the shareholders get their share... sadly the current system does not support this.

You are right about the excessive compensation. For this company one million would be excessive. It's all subjective. That doesn't mean that this stock will not have extreme value at some point. This is our current system and that's what it is. If you are looking for corporate executives that don't compensate themselves...good luck. There are some out there but they are as rare as an airline that can survive without subsidies.
