For my non-Canadian friends. As I follow political and business events and sentiment in Canada by default, to me this really seems a no brainer that this takeover will get approved: it fits perfectly with PM Harper's economic policy of free trade, develop oil sands, sell oil to China, build pipeline to coast. NXY is no Potash Corp. It would be an incredible about-face to turn this down. I'd be more concerned that CNOOC backs out.

Is like the Japanese buying real estate in the 80s. I say NXY is worth a position at US$25.84.
