It is used as a middle proxy to access a pc from a remoter computer. If the locator server is a group of computers, do they all share one and same static ip address or have different static ip addresses or only the Mother computer has one static ip address and the rest don't have any addresses, since they are off-line database servers. Now, logm wants 01 to prove all 01 locator servers have static ip addresses. Why is that important? Logn claims (heard from their oral argument back in Feb) their computers operate on different (ie, nonstatic, temporary, dynamic) ip addresses from different locations. Is that what makes their system different?
Like you said, 01 has never limited the scope of their claim. Whether logm's locator servers have static ip addresses or not, they still steal 01's patented technology. The problem is if Hilton will see things this way. If not, we will go back to the appeals court again.
