Regarding any buyout don't forget that we are protected against any forced low-ball offers

 

It both amuses me and scares me that people post this. Posion pills are to protect management not we shareholders. "Forced" low ball offers. Lol, what does that even mean? How is force involved? People offer me money for my shares every day I can make my own mind up, thank you.

 

You may get the tip-off: to allow the board to pursue, if appropriate, other alternatives to maximize shareholder value and to allow additional time for competing bids to emerge" (ie to save their jobs or at least get paid off)

 

Posion pills make it more difficult to takeover a company, thus lessening demand (potential suitors) and lessens our money making potential.
