I just got off the phone speaking with Ms. Nicole Blanchard with IR at the Laval corporate headquarters.  She said I was free to share what I was told.  The two downed power lines and damage to power poles was caused by some of the construction equipment operating at the mine site.  No storm and no terrorist activity!  That hydro power supplies about 70% of the energy.  The company briefly operated at a reduced capacity for awhile with diesel generators but decided that was too expensive.  They are awaiting repair by the company responsible for that power transmission line to affect repairs.

Regarding the reports of lower grades, she stated that the grade actually has held rather steady and is in line with the 43-101.  The plan is to up production from around 350 tpd to 500 tpd.  They are working to arrange financing for $3 million.  At this time a long-term off-take agreement with GTP absorbs all production.  She said it was possible that they might want all of that additional production.

We briefly discussed how tungsten is such a rare mineral outside of China.  She believes that that rarity will help tungsten prices to rebound smartly with improvement in the global economy.  I mentioned to her that US GDP growth was reported at 2% for the latest quarter today and US unemployment is falling.  Personally, I think we have turned the economic corner here in the US and in much of the world.  Interestingly, a nearby village was almost a ghost town with all the men gone when the company arrived in 2005.  Now it is a little boom town with great local support!  I suggested to her that there is a lack of clarity in terms of the investing public re. the shutdown situation, which creates uncertainty and sp pressure.  She said she will take that into advisement when the company issues a new press release next week.  She was very informative and professional.

In my opinion market manipulators are making the most of the lack of clarity re. the current situation to drive the sp down--this is standard operating procedures for such slime.  Don’t be fooled, this probably is merely a minor delay with no lasting significance.  Just amazing how some would sell their shares as such crazy low prices.
These penny stocks are especially susceptible to just such manipulation.
