RE: RE: Nice coverage The rumour mill has it that Osisko are now up to 1.5 million ha in the GGB. The announcement of this will certainly focus attention on the region. And why not, it's the site of some of the largest gold discoveries in recent years (Newstrike, Torex), one Goldcorp's biggest cash flowing assets (Los Filos), and has plenty of potential left with Oroco's Xochipala project (the site of the original gold discovery and production in the region and hosting the last major intrusion as yet untested, just 4 km from Los Filos : https://www.orocoresourcecorp.com/projects-Xochipala-Project.html and https://www.321gold.com/editorials/moriarty/moriarty091212.html), Torex's ongoing drilling and success south of the river, Cayden's large magnetic anomoly and strategic land holdings and leverage they provide, as well as what appears to be millions of ha of prospective area.
In my opinion the most advanced of the properties hosting a potential new discovery is Xochipala, and Vuelcos del Destino offers the biggest potential bang for buck as its market cap is current so low (though less indication at this stage of prospective geology).
Xochipala hosts a historical mine, focussed on the high grade contact zone, has the intrusion in outcrop and associated contact zone as does all the defeined resources upstrike........ Well, in Oroco's words......"The Xochipala Property is the last remaining under-explored target in the GGB that has geological characteristics similar to the known deposits, including the existence of a strong magnetic signature and extensive areas of alteration associated with the contact between intrusives and sediments."
"Extensive mineralized endoskarn and exoskarn zones are associated with similar contacts throughout the region and host all of the major gold deposits in the Guerrero Gold Belt."........the property hosts "extensive areas of marbleized limestones (exoskarns) and highly altered, ferruginous intrusives (endoskarns) that are indicative of skarn mineralization in the vicinity of the more than one kilometer of the targeted contact zone."
The pictures on Oroco's web site make clear they have mineralized contact zone, and samples up to 54 g/t confirm it.
From a valuation perspective, OCO's market cap is back stopped by the near term production asset in Sonora, and value is yet ascribed to Xochipala.
