Reason for the email to my BC MLA The reason for my email to my local MLA is as follows. We currently have a liberal government in power here in BC. My MLA(member of the Legistlative Assembly) is an NDP member. So by emailing this person I am trying to get the opposition to look into the issue. The BC Liberal party is all about jobs as you know(so their $15 Million dollar TV add campaign says).
I figure that the opposition might do more digging than say just a government official. I made mention of how the BCSC has dropped the ball by not initially halting the stock and I think are simply now just trying to save face. They also seem to be very open to comments made by outsiders such as Brent Cook which questions why they dont just do their own due dilligence rather than rely on others.
As for the minus numbers which Ovis has stated I have been told by persons very close to management that this will all be cleared up once the report has been released. So if management has answered all of the BCSC concerns then why halt Barkerville Right!
Well this is the real world Ovis. Sometimes people in higher positions tend to take things personally. If Barkerville has the goods and the audit comes back in favour of Barkervilles initial numbers will the BCSC tell BGM to revise their numbers lower to trade again as a power move for them(BCSC) to save face. They did this with Rubicon Minerals. They(Rubicon) revised their numbers down to only prove them up higher later. So by emailing now and putting some pressure on the BCSC and their MOTIVES then maybe just maybe someone there will not let their ego get in the way of allowing Barkerville to rightfully get back to trading again.
People in power should not let ego and feelings get in the way. For this reason I applaud Frank as I have yet to hear one derogatory remark made against the BCSC during this halt. So with him keeping his mouth shut during this period and maybe later smoothing things over by saying the BCSC had to do what they had to do without personally bashing them then we will be back in business.
