Int'l Speculator refreshes Exeter Resource buy 2012-10-25 19:00 ET - In the News The International Speculator, in its Oct. 5, 2012, issue, refreshes its buy of Exeter Resource Corp. at $1.59, officially, "Buy (if you dare)." The newsletter first bought the stock in June, 2006, at $2.32, and since then it has bought 10 more times. Along the way, it sold all its shares once and sold half once. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the 10 buys, the full sale yielded a humble profit of $83, while the half sale yielded $985. The Speculator's remaining $8,000 investment is worth a disappointing $3,391. The writer goes over the press releases but does not find much in the way of talking points. However, he met with management and came away encouraged. He says Exeter is looking for acquisitions. Exeter has plenty of cash and any acquisitions the company makes would be alternatives to its Caspiche gold project in northern Chile. He figures the stock high risk, high reward. Caspiche boasts nearly 45 million ounces of gold-equivalent, including 26.4 million ounces of gold. The company got some discouraging news earlier this year when Barrick Gold Corp. put the Cerro Casale project on hold. Cerro Casale is near Caspiche.
