RE: Aeroplan Some may say what's the point debating what has happened in thre pastr or maybe should happen tomorrow. But it's too late anyway. The facts are before us. It cost more over ther past 7 years than it's worth today. Both co-founders are gone or in the background. Now they have doubts about being a reseller.
I don't have the answers either. Those who gave the company money over the years are searching for answers also. Yes,the loyalty business is unpredictable just like the stock market. I guess, let the buyer the investor beware.
If the loyalty industry is so unpredictable as management says, I still think a reverse merger is the way to go. Get out and go into something new. Invite proposals from private companies. Do a stock consolidation. Get debt holders paid or share/debt deal. Then will have a clean shell company with no skeletons in the closet.
The stock would be tightly held. Less chance of selling off the stock, simply to get out once the new company starts. This would help the new company promote the stock and see some value in order to raise new money via an equity financing.
But if it only were that easy.
