Invesco Emerging Markets Sovereign Debt ETF V.PCY

Primary Symbol: PCY

The investment seeks to track the investment results (before fees and expenses) of the DBIQ Emerging Market USD Liquid Balanced Index (the underlying index). The fund generally will invest at least 80% of its total assets in U.S. dollar-denominated government bonds from emerging market countries that comprise the underlying index. The underlying index measures potential returns of a theoretical portfolio of liquid emerging market U.S. dollar-denominated government bonds.

Well then, perhaps they feel they have an "obligation" to report such an agreement to the shareholders and that was the purpose of the news release.

This is fluff plain and simple.  This is not a material event in any way and the company was not obligated to press release this.  An MOU means nothing at all.  This is like company XYZ putting out a presser that says "We talked to some big players about partnering up with them for ABC division; we generally agreed that we'd move forward."  As a shareholder that type of news is junk and makes the company look amateur.
