Futura says the experience with Aeroplan and car dealerships are below expectations. But why then does Aeroplan continue to go this route themselves and dealers offer 60,000 miles, while Futura mostly gets 5000 miles (5000 X 2 cents =$100 net) per new car purchase.

Also why did Aeroplan do the same idea years ago with GTA car dealers? Is it, or isn't it a category to go after and make money from?

So this forum covers some topics of interest: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/air-canada-aeroplan/1317094-buy-car-get-aeroplan-points.html
