Next results in 2-3 weeks From Mineweb today:
First off, Reservoir Minerals and the Timok copper-gold project in Serbia. Recall that back in September Reservoir’s majority partner on Timok, Freeport McMoRan, drilled as much as 160 metres @ 10.16 percent copper equivalent, making this easily one of the most exciting drillholes of the year.
Timok was a blind drilltarget that Freeport, which now owns 55 percent of Timok and can earn up to 75 percent, identified through geophysics and confirmed at the drillbit mid-year with 266 metres @ 1.07 percent Cu.
As a handful of subsequent drillholes still remain to be reported from Timok, I asked a Reservoir spokesperson about what to expect in terms of drilling results yet to come. He told me more drilling results would likely be out in the next two to three weeks, including assays from deeper portions of a partially released drillhole and “maybe another couple drillholes.”
As far as previous results go, coming assays will be from drillhole FMTC 1210, which hit the 266 metre intercept mentioned above. By deep, I mean deep. Freeport finished the vertical drillhole at an astounding 1,947 metres and has reported drilling results therein up to 1,183 metres. The 266 metre copper mineralized intercept ended at 864 metres.
