You should actually read ADV's environmental impact statement rather than copy posts from Brad Cabana's Rock Solid Politics blog (and not give the source). Cabana is being sued by Danny Williams, of course.

Hydro power obviously doesn't cost more than arctic diesel. All the major mining projects in the Labrador Trough run on hydro. Why do Cliffs and IOC choose hydro? Because it's the most expensive form of power? Pure idiocy.
