I think your reasons for investng in TBE: balance sheet strength, growth profile and generous dividend are great factors in investing in this undervalued gem. Accordingly TBE trades at $36K per flowing boe. I have made frequent comparisons to heavy oil stalwart BTE because despite them having half the shares TBE has out (120 million vs close to 248 million) they pay a fantastic .22 monthly dividend and they have a market cap based on their share price in excess of $5.5 billion. They produce 54,000 or so boe's/d. Now back to TBE they are producing 19,100 boe's/d and with Pincher Creek's shut in gas production set to come back up that numbers goes to 19,500 boe'd. So TBE's production is over a third of BTE's yet their market cap is not even $1 billion which would value them at $4 a share let alone $3 a share. The market acts like a well regarded operator like Jim Saunders and team is not worthy of respect or admiration or their investment dollar. All the while they grew production from 7500 boe/d this time last year to today's number, made five accretive acquistions since and have debt incredibly constrained compared to peers and even raised the dividend beginning in December. I'm vigilant to the market's forces but once the shares break say $3.50 I'll probably just stop posting, sit back, watch TBE grow, increase the dividend again and just enjoy the ride. Stay tuned.
