POET Technologies Ord Shs V.PTK

Alternate Symbol(s):  POET

POET Technologies Inc. is a design and development company. It offers high-speed optical engines, light source products and custom optical modules to the artificial intelligence (AI) systems market and to hyperscale data centers. Its photonic integration solutions are based on the POET Optical Interposer, a novel, patented platform that allows the integration of electronic and photonic devices into a single chip using wafer-level semiconductor manufacturing techniques. Its Optical Interposer-based products consume less power than comparable products, are smaller in size and are readily scalable to high production volumes. In addition, it has designed and produced novel light source products for chip-to-chip data communication within and between AI servers, the next frontier for solving bandwidth and latency problems in AI systems. Its Optical Interposer platform solves device integration challenges across a range of communication, computing and sensing applications.

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Hoping for big news on Mon

Beenthere. Why are you here on this forum on a Saturday evening? It is very logical for me to spend a lot of time rationalizing my investment and sharing my thoughts with likeminded investors who share a passion in researching companies with exciting technologies. That is the reason why oogee, Rob and I headed down to CT for the AGM and Tour. It is the reason we were at the AGM last year as well. This company represents a bit of a perfect storm. A very checkered past and a failed business in solar nearly bankrupt the company. Many thought the solar business would help finance POET developments but the solar end was bleeding this company dry. We were told at the AGM by IBK a company can have the best technology in the world but if it goes bankrupt then it has zero value. Opel did not go bankrupt. Clearly the value of POET has not been recognized by the market. I very much believe that this company has the potential to commercialize this technology. If that happens its value will be greater than any company I have ever been invested in. I own a lot shares and have absolutely no intention of selling these until Taylor has completed his life’s work and has earned his Nobel Prize for the impact this technology could have on the semi-conductor industry. When I heard someone ask Taylor when he expects to receive the Nobel Prize at the tour I thought it was a bit of a joke. But it was no joke. If this technology meets design criteria it will be the most significant advancement in the semiconductor industry in years. Most don’t understand how unique this technology is and what a leap it represents. If it meets the expected performance metrics it will reset Moore’s Law.

I retired at 51. I worked under contract for a while doing the double dip thing but decided I wanted to travel with my family while the boys were still interested. My wife and I go out a lot, we hike, and I spend a lot of time working on my property which is on the Niagara Escarpment landscaping and gardening and trying to keep the deer out. I have a woodworking shop I putter around in. An 87 Alpha Spider Quad that we take on wine tours. I try to keep busy and this part of it.

I am surprised that you have taken such an interest in how I spend my time beethere? You know it was my persistence with detail and the ability figure out solutions to complex operating problems that allowed me to excel at my old job. Yes I was a system operator but I retired as a Senior Operations Officer. And then worked under contract for a competing company as a Senior Market Analyst. It really surprises me to see you come here to the Opel forum and to MDG to complain so frequently. It must be sad to be so unhappy with your investments. You say you are an engineer but I see very little logic in what you say most of the time?

Why am I here? Because I want to make a lot of money and I think this is the best opportunity I have ever seen in all my years of investing. I own a lot of shares as do a number of people I correspond with. I have never seen such a united group of loyal investors as I have seen here despite the stormy past. I think there is a very good reason for this and I am very happy to be part of it.
