RE: What happened to Wilan.... It just apears to me that Paradigm has a very large investor that has been liquidating their shares and have been doing so for the last few days. Fortunately Paradigm has been lining up some large buyers here and there to make some crosses along the way but not large enough to offset the large seller. I don't know why this entity is selling because there doesn't appear any seriously bad news in the courts...just usual posturing and due process (thanks to BMWIN and others for their insight into the court procedings).
The reason I believe that there is only one large seller is because the reason for selling must be isolated to that particular entity (eg closing a fund and must liquidate all holdings) because there doesn't seem to be any logical land mines for WiLan at this time especially because the market is pricing in no new significant settlements goiin forward. Acuity had to do this in 2011 and was an extremely heavy weight on the stock price. IMO they were forced to abide by certain holding restrictions at that time imposed by their new owner, AGF (one other example of why investors need to liquidate for non-stock related reasons).
My hope is that a big buyer comes in who understands WiLan's situation and can take out this big seller before more harm is done (albeit temporarily) to the stock price.
