RE: RE: RE: Brookfield Why not read the filing on SEDAR?
Brookfield states officially it did not buy more in the open market.
They also say in the SEDAR filing that they may buy 5% more in the open Market, but they won't start before tomorrow. It is in the filing.
They are aiming for 50% with their tender offer, because that is what is in the Poison Pill that was set up by...WND, for bidders who don't want to trigger the Poison Pill. But it is 50% of the stock that they don't own. Their own holdings do not count.
Some of you are needlessly paranoid. Why would they bother to break the rules AND leave themselves open to very big lawsuits? The OFFER will not close until the end of January and anyone who tenders can get their shares back until the last day. WND has lots of time to come up with a better offer. Brookfield did us a favor by putting pressue on ALL bidders not to drag their feet.
