Sean Apparently the only way that someone is able to get an update on what is going on is to call Sean directly. I spoke with him yesterday morning and again this afternoon. He told me that a deal was signed on Friday and that the company was supposed to have the funds to him by Tuesday this week, which has now turned into Thursday. He said that when the offers came in there was one to purchase the entire company, a couple for just the MB assets, a few for land, one from a company with 400 barrels of production and 5 million in cash but no land, and one of '20 million dollars' to recapitalize the company and prove the other assets. I told him that he had also said there would be a press release 3 weeks ago and to forgive me if I take everything he says with a grain of salt. He told me that he'll be more than happy to show me the paperwork from the offers he received once a deal is finalized to prove that he's not completely full of BS, so I am going to hold him to that . I discussed the MD&A and most recent financials with him, and he acknowledged that it is no secret that Atikwa will not be able to survive on its own going forward, and the companies that he is negotiating with are aware of that and are showing it in their offers. He knows he will not get what ATK is worth (above 12 cents), but that the current stock price does not play a role in the negotiations what so ever and that the people who are selling at 2.5 will not be very happy when a deal is announced. He said there has been no release because of all the different types of offers and he doesn't want to upset any of the parties at the table, which I can kind of understand. He said there is already a release written for the deal that was signed on Friday and as soon as he gets the funds it will be released. He gave me his word that everything he was telling me was the absolute truth.
Since he is making all this money from the company that we are all shareholders of, so technically we are his boss, I suggest that anyone give him a call if they have any concerns or would like to voice their frustration. His direct line is 1-403-233-6073.
