RE: RE: Bonus Results!

RE: RE: Bonus Results!

I'm sure we are all curious to see the gold results!

If the gold assays are in the 1-5 gpt, they would usually  only have to do  a single fire assay run to get results (in a normal matrix), so results might be fairly soon.  I would guess in the next couple of weeks if the lab is not backed up.  I don't want to see results too soon though for purely selfish reasons.

There are a lot of variables that effect analysis time, such as how many furnaces they have, furnace capacities, and especially the matrix of the ore.  Some ores are tricky and require one or more attempts (flux adjustments) before an accurate result is attained.   It also depends to a large degree on the experience of the fire assayer.  It is a highly skilled art to say the least.  Some gold can be analyzed by AAS or atomic absorption spec. but that is for very low range Au in the PPB level.

If the Au/Ag is very high, the company might, and usually does, decide to get the samples re-analyzed and verified by another independent lab before posting results and the process would start all over again depending on the same factors for the verifying lab, plus shipping time.

Case in point:  When in on the Cluff Lake analysis (1970's),  one sample batch in particular gave us a lot of grief because of the extremely high Gold/Silver/Uranium content.  One sample ran over 600 OPT (yes ounces per ton), and over 1500 OPT silver.  That sample was re-run more than a dozen times and in various ways (flux adjustments, sample size etc.) to finally ascertain an accurate result.  The Uranium was over the 70% U3O8 range.   It itself took several days, and there were a lot of other samples with over 100 opt, all requiring several runs.  Our assayer had nearly 50 yrs. experience and was extremely frustrated!!  His name for that sample was different than the one the company had labeled.

So..... very nice results and a unique sample,  but a real pain in the butt to analyze.  Exploration companies love them....lab people....not so much as each run bites into their profit margin.

Should a new main ore body even remotely mirror the original Cluff Lake one in Gold/Silver/Uranium content.....be prepared to win the lottery!!  And they are both in near proximity to each other as far as exploration goes.  One can never really know the final outcome, but I for one am determined to be long term with my shares because the potential for a once in a life time mega reward, although never guaranteed, looms before us!!

DD as before
