You're making a little mistake.  $1.25 is the exercise price for 1 share but a right entitles you to 1.388 shares.

So here, with each right trading at $1.10:

$1.10 + $1.25*1.388  = $2.8355 for 1 right

therefore

10000 rights cost $28355.

For that you get 13884 shares.

$28355/13884 shares = $2.04 per share!
