Gold got discovered in "The Cariboo" just before the Civil War Between the States! Yale Univ. emptied out as adventurous students opted to head west to grab their fortunes off the ground instead of prepping for Wall St and the military/industrial complex of those days. It was all washing gravel beds in the creeks and small rivers heading to the Fraser but the headquarters was at Billy Barker's camp now Wells/Barkerville, B.C., Canada about 1860, below the "blue clay" level there, bonanza placer, nuggets and dust of fine gold, lying abundantly for the taking! Fortunes made and lost! The boom town flourished, supplying victuals, mining supplies, entertainment and SIN (seex and gambling!) run well by Chinese and Yankee entrepreneurs, each about half the (16,.000?) population, for Canadians were scarce. The Klondike Gold Rush (1898) zapped Barkerville but a few miners prevailed and, in 1932, a Seattle dentist and some buddies, drilled the first lode mine adit access into Cow Mountain, following quartz stringers and pods, hitting it @ $20/Oz Au in those days, making The Cariboo Gold Quartz Mine, which ran successfully for decades, then had to shut down due to economics in the late 1950s... So, about 1995, long after Newmont pulled out @ $35/Oz as the operator of CGQM, in comes J. Francis Callaghan (Au @ $250/Oz) to begin his due diligence and paper-shuffling creativity and trading (Wayside Gold) to re-explore 135 years of history. Nowadays, 1,000 of meters of drilling, 1,000s of ground samples and electro-mag mapping, spending millions of dollars raised from folks like you and me... He's doggedly HIT IT BIG But, a lot of bureaucrats, pundits, brokers and uninformed DOUBT THE TERRIFIC NEWS!!! Our stakes are in jeopardy... the exchange has halted trading, at least in Canada... so FYI "Our Hole Card" is COW MOUNTAIN, the mother-lode prime supplier of all that gold dust in the creeks, ground up as the last ice age's glaciers "milled the mountain" and drilling's proven that lots more gold (possibly 100 million ounces?) is awaiting BGM's rebuttal to the nay~sayers... coming by the end of this month?... The gold awaits! Money is tight! We're on a teeter-totter! Someday, a great book will be written to demonstrate just how marvelous has been this jaunty parade to what will, undoubtedly, result in a fantastic finish as a BIG MINE! Place your bets! Be long and strong! Test your mettle! Gold's now at $1,680, eh?
