RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: NYS moratorium

"Without leaving all the chemicals and polluted wter behind" may refer to these items being left behind at the surface where they need to be dealt with and disposed of.  Gasfrac chemicals left behind in the well may not be looked at as any significant form of "pollution" that needs to be disposed of by comparison.  One concern being raised now is the amount of radium that is believed to be brougt to the surface with hydrofrack fluids.  Am I correct in assuming that, except for the results of the direct drilling proess, where this presumably cannot be avoided, that, by comparison to hydrofracking, the Gasfrac process does not result in any additional radium being brought to the surface where it must be dealt with (and has a tremendously long half lilfe) ?  I believe that radon gas is produced by radium, and that might be stimulated and brought t the surface by any fracking, but this product of radium only has a half life of about 4 days or so, and hence is seen as no where the threat that radium itself poses at the surface.  I am also concerned about g_man's comment that there is a "residual damage" from the Gasfrac process "that out weighs any advatage that the proane itself offers".  Would appreciate more detail of this "residual damage" from g_man and other responders "in the know"  Also appreciated would be any other comments on the rest of this post.  thanks....appreciate your insight !!
