OH PLEASE. Give me a break . Do you really believe that they would have shut down the drilling knowing that this Mother load was a stones throw away.Even if the driller left and as you say the hole is very clean,would they not get another drill asap to complete this "company maker" hole. I am not happy with their management but I know they are not that stupid. they had the money,they saw the core, it wasn't there. No big deal, that is exploration. These Geological trends can go for hundreds of miles but doesn't mean the Gold follows it all the way. Your "people in the know" should know this.

This was Jims baby and idea to hit it big. He even said it was a lottery ticket hole. I do not believe he would have abandoned this hole and left the company if these "people in the know " actually knew they where that close
