mill tonnage and costs

mill tonnage and costs

I read the lakeshore news release.  They say they achieved 2500 tons per day, but did they just crank up the feed to the ball mill until it spits out the other end?  or is the place actually milling an average of 2500 tons per day including down time for maintenance....  Thats not so clear in the statement.   I dont see how they can make that claim in only a couple of weeks after the shutdown.

Another thing.... i dont see any statement about achieving $20 million in cost savingsfor the mill expansion in 2012 to get to only 2500 tons per day instead of the promised 3000 tons per day. .....

I dont see any mention of the actual cost to date of the mill expansion....  It was supposed to cost $80 million to get to 3000 tons per day.  So they should be at $60 million spent to only be at 2500 tons per day.... Again I think they are avoiding that topic because the actual costs might be an unpleasant surprise for the market.
