RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: back and forth spark, in Canada, generally speaking, all public companies have primary listings on the TSX or TSXV and Alpha and the other ATS usually trades a subset of the overall volume, so it's not the wild west that the US OTC is.
the discount brokerages sometimes get a better price on the ATS's so when you buy/sell shares, in many cases your order will be filled on multiple ATSs to get you the best possible price, under one commission charge, but your broker may get favourable pricing from the ATS' on the back-end.
Most of the Canadian ATS are partly owned by the big banks.
