RE: Nothing has changed
RE: Nothing has changed Go back in the bullboards archives to Dec. 17th. 2011, and read some of the posts that were made.Public meetings at Fort Simpson and Yellowknife had just been concluded. Every interested group from different Indian tribes, not just the chiefs but all first nations in the NWT were allowed to voce there opinions with the council of lawyers to represent them if they desired.Environment Canada, the AANDC and Parks Canada and every group involved with the permitting of the Prairie Creek mine was present.CZN had all their representative at the meetings, you would think that a lot of progress would have been made? Wrong,12 mths. latter they are scheduling new public hearings with many of the same suspects present. Parks Canada would not even allow permitting of brush clearing for a winter road in 2012.Parks Canada, along with the 1st nations and despite the protestations of the Indians to the apposite, remain the main stumbling block to the granting of a final permitting of the Prairie Creek project. All the aforementioned, along with there lawyers are happy to maintain the status quo. Follow the money! More of the same old of the past 10yrs.
