?Actually, the world is more at peace today than it has been throughout history. Aside from a few low level conflicts, there really isn't nations fighting against nations, only a tiny handful of kingdoms just about all of which are only for show and don't command armies, and widespread famine and pestilence are a thing of the past. Earthquakes are always here and the only reason there seems to be more, which there isn't, is that we know about every single earthquake happening at any given time and the information is available to all. From what the world was like say 150 years ago, we're doing pretty well. Still a ways to go though, as today's events make very apparent.
