New COO position created and filled internally This appears to be good news. Looks like Dawson will keep the CEO position along with Executive Chairman and can focus on the high levels issues and opportunities. Now Clark who was already the President of the South American operations assumes a new position of Chied Operating Officer. As COO Clark can focus on the operations without worrying about the additional CEO duties. Dawson can work on Strategy development with the board and focus on things like the financing
He has been with Tuscany for at least two years so he would be a proven commodity to the organization.
They may also be saving a CEO salary here as well.
