Just starting here, no glasses on.  I'm already ahead and could get out with a small profit if I wanted.

He said he wouldn't buy because he wants to see what happens with the dividend, but he also said it might go up if the dividend was cut.  He also said they might not cut the dividend.  You have to draw your own conclusions and not just base everything you do on what someone else says.  Personally, I disagree with a bit of his logic.

You could sit around for a dividend cut and still pay more.  Or you could wait for a dividend cut that never comes and watch everyone else collecting their dividend and benefitting from a cold January (who knows).  Or you could buy a bit now because it's a good company that will do well in the future and ignore the fear in the market.  Keep some powder dry if the deals get even better.  I have my strategy and it sounds like you have yours.
