RE: charts

RE: charts

Profit, our earlier posts appear to have crossed at the same time, so my earler post could not address the good points you noted, so I will do so here.

Your post raises many valid considerations, especially that some newbee should not get on this site, see TA projections, and assume that TA projections or charts are to be relied upon to accurately predict future price movements. Nothing does that. I also wholeheartedly agree that everyone should also do their own homework and due diligence before they make important investments decisions about this stock.

As to what constitutes due dilgence upon which to base decisions, I assume you would agree that reasonable minds may differ. I think that is where parties might be in the case of potential application of TA in this instance. It is simply a difference in mindset, perspective, and/or experience. The notion is there is no "right" answer, or, as you say, if there was, then everyone would simply learn and apply that method and go to the bank on every trade. As you stated, investment in this stock is "a random walk down the street." (as is investment in any stock IMO).

Personally, I like to keep my eye on both fundamental and technical analysis. It appears you prefer to focus on the fundamentals and don't consider TA applicable in this instance. Certainly, no one can fault either approach or conclusion, or meaningfully support that it is inherently mistaken. Simply different strokes for different folks. As for the "fundamental" in me, I think your 7 considerations are all spot on valid considerations, except I would move your number 4 to number 1, as least for now.

I think most importantly, we both want to see good news soon and escalating prices, irrespective of reason. Thanks for bringing these issues to the forefront so they could be discussed.

As to the overall discussion of TA application,
