RE: RE: RE: Alberta Courts Public and Media Access Hornby
Good evening - well you are partly right - I was trying to avoid making any judgement at to whether their charges have merit or not - I neither have a clue, nor, quite frankly, do I care. All I was trrying to say - perhaps unsuccessfully, was that regardless of the merit(s) of their case, ANY lawsuit of this type ultimately has the effect of being an anchor around the neck of the company being sued making it very difficult to raise further funds, which, if they are relying on that cabability to raise additional funds for day-to-day operations or to finance a legal defence, puts that capability in question.
So to take the corollory to a military context, they have, in my opinion, potentially compromised the supply lines of their adversary; a very smart tactic. It may well be that the drop in TUO's share price was entirely coincidental and unanticipated - again, thats not the point, the issue at hand is the ability to defend (if a defence is even necessary or desireable) a company from such a legal action. For all I know Teuton has millions in the kitty so the point in moot. Only time will tell.
Hopefully this clarifies my thought process, however, befuddled it may be
Cheers
