RE: RE: The Tony Discount

RE: RE: The Tony Discount

It is refreshing to hear of other perspectives on T"s mine management capability.  And his published background also shows he has experience with mines.  Hopefully this experience is helping LSG. And although I have followed mines for some time I do not have either the professional background or experience to judge this capacity.

Many of the concerns expressed about LSG's rocky progress have related more to the general management and the strategic management of LSG. The series of unanticipated and exceptionally expensive financings and the long list of unfilled promises have been the primary basis of these concerns. T's published background does not appear to indicate any experience as the CEO of a corporation. Is this an important concern? And while I do have the professional background and the experience to feel more comfortable making judgments in these areas, I am not in a position to say definitely that T has not been a good leader of LSG from a strategic and general management perspective. I do wonder however if it is not yet time for new blood at the helm of LSG.
