RE: RE: RE: Dividends + Analyst Recommendation

RE: RE: RE: Dividends + Analyst Recommendation

Happy New Year retiredcf.  Thanks for the new leads.  I used to be a strictly growth investor and never pay any attention to dividends.  However, the trend has changed and the least I could do is have a bit of a balance in my portfolio.  I now have a few of the dividend payers too.

The real big investment returns are not generated from dividend payers but growth stocks, and that's the reason why you need a balance.  I'm in the process of converting my portfolio to that end.  WCP will continue to be one of my anchor stocks since I think it can deliver both growth and yield.  In fact it is right now my largest holding.

I will put $5,500 into my TFSA as soon as the market opens tomorrow and buy more WCP shares.  My TFSA was decimated by the collapse of PSN (it was my primary stock in the TFSA) and WCP will be its replacement.  In hindsight high flying stocks like PSN is not suited for the TFSA and I could have used the tax loss.  Well, should have, could have, would have............. Isn't hindsight always perfect.  LOL.
