RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Green proxy Agoracomposterboy, In the fiscal year ended May 2012 SLI spent about 5.2 million on Exploration. This was not a waste of money. It did not yield the results that everyone, including me, was hoping for. SLI spent about 1 million on promotion in the same period. Increased promotion and increased exploration go hand in hand. Had they done no promotion I would consider that a very bad thing. A company that does not get the story out is doomed to a stagnate share price. The travel budget during the same period was 1.35 million. Strip out consulting fees, directors fees, management fees and the 90K for travel and entertainment and you are left with $800K. Travel is missing from the exploration budget so we are left to assume that they placed travel for the purpose of exploration in the global travel segment of the financial. Considering that they were actively working on 2 properties in Peru I suspect that the bulk of the $800K was spent sending teams of geologists and staff to and from Tesoro. In my personal opinion SLI management has gotten their spending in line with what would be considered appropriate for the level of exploration. The numbers did not always make sense in the but they have improved. Anger over poor results has clouded the judgment of many investors and has allowed the manipulative and false suggestions to propagate in these boards unchecked. It is very unfortunate but hopefully there will be a resolution in due course.
