MGM has obviously selected the site for it's vertical well with some careful thought.    Be sure to read page 13:

"One of the more interesting wells with no SDL is the East MacKay B-45 well.  East MacKay recovered 1,830 ft (567 m) of 20.5 degree API oil. "
