RE: RE: RE: More on WSA deal
RE: RE: RE: More on WSA deal Joe - I don't think there will be a new government - especially with South African troops there now. The UN is now paying attention to this country - and the UN believes that peace will come through increased prosperity. The best way to do that is to create jobs for people, and the best way to do that is build a strong industry that can support itself - in this case natural resources are the quickest way. Ultimately they need private money, and that wont come if that money thinks the rules will change. I have said from day one, it is in the best interests of everyone (from a socioeconomic standpoint) that this mine is built. The WSA is a UN agency, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is a way to start that process. Like Sven said, there isn't another resources project that can bring jobs fast.
