RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Hey Sharpei

I don't don't know Sharpei.  I suppose if the US and China get it ironed out where the SEC/PCAOB can audit China based accounting firms, PE ratios will soon thereafter rise (double, triple, quadruple?).  Now might be the best time so far to invest in China based companies.  From what I read, China is the only country in the world not allowing the US to access its China based accounting firms' auditing records.  It looks like giant US corporations doing business in China also want China to cooperate with the US.  My guess is the US big business executives' associations will have better better luck in getting the PRC to work with the SEC than does the US government.  No guts no glory.  There are many willing to take risks for the possibility of larger returns in the slow growth economic environment.  On the news the other day, there appeared to be strong hints of improving flows into mutual funds in the US.  Perhaps the inflows will improve and perhaps US and China will come to an agreement.  These two factors should certainly boost the PE's of these riskier assets.

I've not followed Chinese based firms but am starting to find myself more interested.  For now I am holding on to my one US based company doing business in a remote and strongly growing province in south western China.  L and L Envergy appears to me to have lost much of the short interest and heavy manipulation recently.  China coals have been moving up and perhaps they will continue to do so with coal prices stregthening and increased demand as China manufacturing appears to be moving back towards higher growth.  This year Guizhou wants the number of mining companies reduced to 200 from the 1700 we saw two years ago.  Looks like we will hit the million ton mark this year also.  Mr. Lee is a big and well respected person in China with the right name.  From what I see,  I'll be holding what I have for a year or two.
