So it seems that there is some wieght behind this theory.  It appears that this was a letter sent out earlier today by Jim Sinclair, a well known gold trader. This may also be related to the push by several nations to create thier own gold backed currency and to move away from the U.S. dollar.  There seems to be a huge smoke screen in front of this one but there is much more credibilty to the theory that gold is being pulled from the reserve because of blatent actions by the central bank to hold the spot price down. I for one don't buy that Germany is moving all of that gold just because they have room in thier vault.
